OT both the Big-Collapse and Frozen-Up theories don't make sense
The many bits of data coming from the Hubble telescope are giving the edge to the freeze up scenario. The universe seems to be expanding too rapidly for gravity to halt. If we don't supress science for the next million years there may be a long term solution found, perhaps developing a new big-bang although I wouldn't want one in my backyard.
