Trench Results Substantiate Large Gold Resource Potential At Maclama Area, Cuba

MacDonald Mines Exploration Ltd. (MMP.A-ASE) announces further results of its exploration program at the Maclama Hill Zone, some 8 kilometres west of the Golden Hill gold/copper discovery. The current results suggest the Maclama Hill Zone may have a large-tonnage at-surface gold resource potential to provide open-pitable feed additional to resources currently outlined at the various zones of the Golden Hill discovery and the Florencia deposit.

At the Maclama Hill Zone, trench MT-2, cut by a bull-dozer along the west side of Maclama Hill, returned 0.38 g/t Au over 111.50 metres with gold values remaining open to the north. The centre of the trenched gold intersection is located about 80 metres west of drill holes M-10 and M-11, both drilled from the same location.

Hole M-10 drilled at -90 degrees returned 0.60 g/t Au over 82.58 metres from 7.70 to 90.28 metres. Hole M-10 included 13.15 metres at 0.96 g/t Au, 3.55 metres at 1.47 g/t Au and 12.35 metres at 1.55 g/t Au in the broader 82.58 metre intersection grading 0.60 g/t Au.

Hole M-11 drilled at -50 degrees west averaged 0.92 g/t Au over 53.50 metres from 14.55 to 68.05 metres. Hole M-11 included 20.05 metres at 1.55 g/t Au in the broader 53.50 metre intersection grading 0.92 g/t Au.
