Sam- How can I blame the messenger when his story is false? I have no problem with any messenger delivering accurate information whether it be good or bad news. But delivering false news is not good(understatment). In this case, my guess is Barry Henderson/Barrons just didn't verify facts before printing the article. For what reason I don't know? Maybe he just didn't do it, or maybe he got no cooperation from ANTC. I do not know?

Also I'm not implying Barry Henderson "fabricated" the story. There would be no motivation for him to "fabricate" it. I'm just saying it sounds like it's a story based on passed down information. Obviously the story is clearly inaccurate. That can't be disputed.

I don't understand your comments about selective disclosure. Obviously the information in the Barron's story is false. So why would you assume there was selective disclosure on the part of management? What are you saying they selectively disclosed?

Are you saying just four weeks from the close of the quarter Stanzione went around and told certain individuals they weren't going to hit their numbers. When ultimately they did hit their numbers and more. So why would they tell certain individuals they weren't going to.....oh...I see.

You are saying they actually did all this incorrect insider disclosure right before the close of the quarter. Then luckily, ended up beating all previous forecasts. Well I don't buy that. I think it was just a POORLY written story that Barron's printed prematurely before checking facts. IMVHO, I think it was as simply as that.

BTW, it was an almost identical situation with Dycom a few months back. One single source creamed the market cap of Dycom and the source didn't bother checking with management. Ultimately the source was wrong and Dycom recovered. The entire scenario is posted on the Last Mile and Dycom thread. So when my DY position recovers from that disaster, bam. I get another similar situation with ANTC.

I'm just amazed at how little it takes to do major damage to companies these days. -MikeM(From Florida)
