The mini crashes were over. But the market makers were rumored not to hold on to any oversold inventory over this weekend.

For the market making business it is cautiousness. Stock inventory caught in another crash would be fatal. Cash is king for another crash if it should come.

What would an investor do? Watch the prices. Are their any bargains today or tomorrow? Do the market makers sell cheap or sell dear?

Common sense in market making is that you pull back to buy back. You make a nice move to move your inventories out the door. Not doing it right will end up with too much inventory next week. Next week, then, the stocks will need a nice move. You may be able to catch a few market makers with their pants down?
