[TeleChoice GTE Announcement location] GTE Expands Microsoft Trial and Launches Two New ADSL Trials Major News May 6, 1997 -- GTE reinforced its commitment to ADSL today when it announced that it is adding 1,000 Microsoft employees to its trial in Redmond, Wash. trial. In addition, the company has launched two more ADSL trials at Duke University and Purdue University involving 30 and 40 lines respectively. While this is not the service deployment announcement that Wall Street analysts had hoped for last week, it is an indication that GTE intends to stay the course with ADSL.
