just a couple stats from an antivirus article in the may 9th pcmagazine... there are more than 50,000 viruses in the wild between 200 & 300 new viruses are discovered each month about 55% of viruses are acquired via email attachments each month about 8% of computer users encounter a virus >>> "your protection is only as complete as your current definition list". a definition is a particular pattern of code that appears in a virus. btw, the article begins with a statement that now sounds very much like what we've all heard about the likelihood of experiencing a hard drive crash... "if you haven't been struck by a computer virus yet, you will be... getting one is just a matter of time." :) mark
