Michael Dell needs help... Someone has given him some bad advice. He has gone ahead and replaced SDRAM in all of his Workstations with RDRAM. Where are his engineers? Which represents about a whopping 265K units in 99, perhaps 477K units in 2000 or 0.3% of the box market. RMBS units remain quite rare. The discussion should focus on units shipping not DRAM makers PR intentions. Intentions are soft - units shipped is hard. And while I'm at it benchmark discussions are even less useful. In complex systems benchmarks are like statistics - they can support what ever you want. As long as performance is not completely differentiated - Marketing will trump - e.g. Apple. Rich
