(BSNS WIRE) Enerdyne Technologies Inc. Showcases its New Linux Communicatio Enerdyne Technologies Inc. Showcases its New Linux Communications Server and Other Technologies at ITS America 2000 Business Editors ITS America 2000, Booth No. 2230 John B. Hynes Convention Center, Boston May 1-4, 2000 SAN DIEGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 20, 2000--Enerdyne Technologies Inc., a subsidiary of Advanced Remote Communication Solutions Inc. (ARCOMS) (OTCBB:BTRK) and a leader in digital-video compression systems, announced today that it will be in booth No. 2230 at the ITS America Meeting and Exposition 2000 in Boston. Enerdyne will demonstrate their 4000 Series MPEG2/1 video compression cards, the UCM6000 Series of Universal Communications Multiplexers and the LNX7000 Linux Communications Server. The ENC/DEC4000 offers customers the latest video compression technology by adding MPEG2 and MPEG1 capability to the product line. The ENC/DEC4000 Series are available as modules for the UCM6000 Series and LNX7000 Series, as well as for OEM applications. The UCM6000 Series is a range of communication multiplexers that merge large volumes and combinations of video, audio and data into either packet or circuit format. These multiplexers can significantly and reliably support a wide range of Enerdyne's technology -- including MPEG2 -- and compress and stream the digital information over one line. This substantially reduces the bandwidth required to transmit information, thereby allowing other information to be transmitted concurrently. Transportation authorities and other users with multiple remote locations can use this technology for surveillance/monitoring, security, and assessing the appropriate response to emergency situations. For example, Enerdyne's technology allows individuals who monitor traffic incidents to view multiple feeds and -- as necessary -- respond differently to a 2-car traffic accident than they would a 40-car pile up. The Linux Communications Server (LNX7000) is a stand-alone, high-speed data server using Linux as the embedded operating system. These units multiplex and demultiplex video, voice and data and stream the combined information over networks using IP transport protocols. The LNX7000 is designed to service a single video and stereo audio channel as well as three bi-directional user data channels and allows it to communicate via 10/100Base-T Ethernet or DS1 based LANs or WANs. With its ability to support custom applications based on the Linux operating system and a range of PCMCIA compatible internal peripherals, the LNX7000 product line offers users the ability to uniquely customize products to their own applications. "We are extremely excited about the many opportunities that these new products will make available," said Nancy Ziter, vice president of business development and operations at Enerdyne Technologies Inc. "Enerdyne is certain that the OEM's and markets we serve will readily put the power of these technologies to work and will be pleased with the product quality that they have come to know and respect."
