<biotech=a risky endeavor> huh?

<rant>
Microsoft is down 30% YTD, so how is
it that in the same article we see biotech
tagged with "riskiness".

I've noticed that just about every time anything
is said about biotech these past few weeks, it
is catagorized as being a "risky" sector, or a
sector for "gamblers". What a crock, the whole
market is risky--I especially love the bullshit
cliches like "dollar cost averaging" and
"diversification" etc etc--that might help smooth
out the bumps, but it isn't going to help a bit
if you suck. Buy a freaking index, or pick your
stocks. Anything in between is giving the "industry"
a cut of the action--why do that?

I'll bet 90% of mutual fund "investors" don't know what
the hell their funds own (after msft, csco, intc of
course--heheh)--"investing" in Microsoft. What does MSFT
do with their earnings--in part they buy small upstart
companies, and lots of treasureies I suppose, I'd rather
cut out the middle man here too.

And another thing...
If I hear McCamant drop Imclone and Isis again next
time he speaks I am going to freakin' spew. Doesn't
this guy have any new ideas?
