Thanks for your reply scott.

Here's what I think.

A. Cool looking site, lots of very good eye candy. My compliments to their web designer.

B. There's not enough description in there to evaluate what sort of scheduling algorithms you are referring to, but if this is truly a non-preemptive multitasking system, my bias is that if the processors are general purpose and similar, round-robin is still the only thing that helps. Usually this is more of a static network layout issue with dedicated machines doing file-server, database-server, print-server tasks. Maybe I'm getting cynical and suspicious.

C. Load-balancing of distributed systems hasn't been an exciting field for a long time. But then, I've been working in the field too long, and perhaps new advances have occured in academia that I don't know about. But I really can't imagine what that would be.

Cool name : ANTS. At first I thought they were related to

ants.com

the strange site that I saw recently. They have this pyramid of payment schemes that looked too confusing for someone as naive as me to understand.

Thanks again. I will now go off look at other exciting stock symbols and leave you guys to contemplate to yourselves on this holy occasion.
