Tightness in the physical market in northwest Europe was said to be the main reason behind continued strength in gas oil, despite weaker trade on NYMEX heating oil futures. * * * --IPE May gas oil futures ended the day at US $210.75, returning to the highs seen in late March. --Algeria's Finance Minister Abdelatif Benachenhou said an expected rise in national oil output will eventually lead to Algeria seeking a renegotiation of its production quota with OPEC, APS news agency reported. Algeria, whose current output capacity is estimated at 1 million bpd, produces only 788,000 bpd under the Mar 28 OPEC agreement.
