Chuck, Q has had fantastic news this calendar year

That's what strikes me as the lunacy of this slide. As a result, I have come to the conclusion that QCOM needs Nokia. Period! Basically, Nokia has become essential for an increase in the stock price. The multitude of excellent deals QCOM has made this year has added up to nothing. The market is simply not forward enough looking. Nokia would add a publicity bolt. It shouldn't be that way. But it is. Sure, a deal with Nokia would be great for potential earnings. But at this point we need a publicity bolt.

I think I have an appropriate analogy. QCOM's situation is kind of like a great baseball team that doesn't have any real stars. The fans just don't go to the games. Solution? Go out and sign a huge free agent. Granted, the free agent likely will improve the team. But more importantly, in the short run the fans will come.

Just thinking,
John
