SEPR discussion -
I am not really worrying about SEPR, just wanted to stirr up some discussion.SEPR will be in an interesting and desirable position in a few years. yet, the company will have to worry about its long term perspective.Sure, the ICE's will provide a rapid growth for many many years but at some point, this idea of the century will have played out.
From a really long long term perspective, SEPR will have to build up its drug discovery capabilities. PFE, LLY and MRK's market value is not only given through the sum of its existing products and its pipeline, but also through the capability of its organization and people to discover and bring to market new products twenty years from now; sort of like a perpetual bond. Since the NDE product development time is 10 years right now, they will have to worry about that a few years down the road.
My guess,is that they will dabble here and there, as opportunity arises. maybe a joint venture model a la Elan.
Additionally, in a few years, they will have build a lot of experience in clinical development and trials and marketing as well.
SEPR is my longterm investment in Biotech and I plan to hold this one for five years - unless it will be added to the Motley FooL Rulebreaker portfolio and quintuple in a few weeks. <G>
