The quote PROLIFE used was taken from this Biblical passage in which Jesus is quoted as saying to the Jews that they belong to their father, the devil--
JOH 8:44
44 You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father's
desire. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is
no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the
father of lies.
This passage is often cited by scholars, according to my husband, who has studied early Christianity and Biblical history, as among the most antisemitic in the Bible.
I simply thought it was interesting that this passage had been used to insult nihil (and although to me it is merely a grotesquerie, to PROLIFE it was certainly an insult, and it was he who had raised the subject of insult), but I did not think that PROLIFE was taking nihil to task for being Jewish-- in fact, haqui, it is all us non-Christians who are the spawn of Satan, not just Jews. I believe PROLIFE will confirm that for you, if you have an interest in, specifically, who is and is not the spawn of Satan. |
