Steve, I am afraid that is non- responsive. First, you have not addressed the question of why being more numerous and prosperous is better. You insinuate that it makes us more likely to survive, but then why is population control a hot issue? Besides, fascist regimes have often encouraged population growth, that is neither here nor there. Second, it may be that fascism is not overthrown by rational disputation, but it is overthrown by those willing to fight rather than acquiesce in the imposed order. You think that it is simply a matter of self- preservation. I think that it is a matter of moral conviction. I am not sure how it might be settled. I look at the actual development of political institutions in the West, and see that philosophy did play a role, though, in enlisting people on the progressive side.......
