Apparently you are commenting on the current state of the stock price?

If you are suggesting this as a market strategy, seems like poor advice, since you would have "bought high" Wed and "sold low" Thur.

In any case, I surmise from your infrequent posts that you are a long time holder of the stock and neither a buyer nor seller but just hoping as are the rest of us.

Personnally I think this week was an excellent time to be adding or starting to accumulate this stock. The intense volatility and downward velocity seems to have subsided. The Q1 news is out. There is little negative info either on the surface or buried in the details. Sudeep has raised his perspective of their future (see Yahoo posts by fnclwzd) and other analysts expectations for 2000 are started to look lowball. Perhaps they will play follow the leader next week?

The big news I see is the change in content of the forward looking projections. For the last 3 quarters you will remember that either Bruce or Gerri clearly stated each time, "modest sequential growth...". And each time they delivered. Q3 grew 2.8%, Q4 by 4.7%, and now Q1 by 3.9%. But this time the forward look included no such comments. Why?

The only valid forward looking comments that you can perhaps build a scenario around is the info wrested from Bruce about current b to b in excess of 1.2 with current 8 to 14 week backlogs. This implies a very good quarter in the offing, certainly better than "modest sequential growth" if these numbers hold.

If there were problems in the fab transition which held back anticipated growth in Q1 then these should be transitory events and Q2 might be the beneficiary. It seems that a management decision was made sometime in Q1 to shift from a lights out 6/30 view of the Milpitas fab to a more gradual lights out by the end of the year. At least they have this flexibility, glad they have played this card now. Looks like they might be able to capitalize on current market strength.
