More importantly, keep playing the stock market like a fiddle, even if it involves your own company.

That was the message last week from U.S. District Senior Judge Spencer Williams, who gutted an insider trading case brought by the Securities and Exchange Commission against a former Molecular Dynamics Inc. software engineer and his friends and family. The ruling could curtail the government's reach in bringing such suits.
