thanks for the polite reply. I'll promise to be polite to you, in the future, if you don't ridicule the posters who are (short-term) bearish. In this case, we were right. I'm sure the bulls will be right, eventually. I'm just trying to define "eventually".

C'mon, now. Everyone, and I mean everyone (other than you) says this is bad news. Investors are losing confidence, about the market (due to Fed/inflation news), the techs (due to overvaluation, mainly, and signs of slowing topline growth in several key companies), and about MSFT in particular. This adds to the uncertainty. A lot of people have to be asking themselves now, "how reliable are forward 12-month EPS estimates for MSFT?"
