But if we really believe that our portfolio will now only grow at 11%, shouldn't we take any opportunity to sell
everything when it doubles and triples in six months?
Any opinions are welcome!

Freeus,
It seems that for the past several weeks, you've been on a mission to try to advocate a short to medium range trading strategy for G and K's. Practically every post begins with "wouldn't it have been better to take profits in...". Despite numerous replies from a number of people with both data and personal experiences that support the validity of a buy and hold approach, you continue on the same diatribes. This is starting to remind me of earlier discussions of option strategies here, which ended up spinning off into it's own thread. Maybe that's the answer here as well...why not spin off your own "Trading G and K's" thread? It would spare some of us having to read the same discussions over and over again.
