No doubt that a lot of Internet companies got ahead of themselves; some will never recover from this spring's pullback. Those are the stocks I have been shorting lately.

I am a big believer in the Internet and communications having a profound effect on the way we live. Penetration will be slower in poorer countries but in the next ten years, you will have some sort of broadband access to just about anywhere on the planet.

Finding the companies that make that happen is my main passion on the long side right now.
