Steve Porter:

Re: "This stall may not happen if the stock rises to $95 on significant volume (avg. 5-6M shares a day over the 2 weeks). If you see that kind of volume, it is likely that stock may keep rising in theory to the $120 mark (probably 1.5 months out).. I would expect if the stock hits $95 and 'stalls' you will see a split as well.

Comment: AMD has established one heck of a base between $70 and $80...Almost 100% float turnover in the past two weeks...In my experience, such unusally heavy volume when reinforced by such unusually good news pertaining to company fundamentals as we are currently hearing, precludes a major price revaluation...I am not at all uncomfortable with $95 in 2 weeks given the consolidation that has been taking place over the past 2 weeks...As I've said before, I just don't understand why anyone would be selling AMD shares at the current level, or for that matter under $125, given Q4 and Q1 earnings and given the outstanding prospects for Q2, Q3 and Q4...(i.e. 1.8, 3.6, 7.2 "spry Athys" and the very real possibility come the end of Y2000, of a string of 5 successive record breaking quarters)...Can't overstate how undervalued AMD is at $80, imho!
