What's Ironic is: over the last thrashing the NAZ took??
PAIR was the thing that was allowin' me to keep buyin' in
other places. Lots of longer term option plays that are now payin' off.
I think the important thing to keep in mind for anyone that has had an experience like PAIR.... is this: If you didn't get washed out under these conditions? There is a good chance that one can succeed as an investor.
To Quote Joey Gallow (former Mob Hit Man): "I may have learned everything I know the hard way.....BUT...............I Learned!!"
So I can take the brutal education I've gotten from PAIR and move on...... or I can sit and become paralyzed by the fear it created!!
Since the days of PAIR at $6.00 and the margin calls I've managed to move from a beaten up Portfolio that was in the 20k range to the current 105k that exists. Until the last NAZ slam I had gotten as high as 120+k which was more than double my initial investments in three years. About 30% per year. So........Has it all been fun???? Hell No!!
But the one thing I've known my whole life that has ALWAYS Paid Off is this!
"UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES WILL I QUIT!!!"
