Brummel and Merry, I am in the same age bracket and have been doing this for 20 years. I subscribe to Kaiser, Bishop and Fagan. I only use their letters for ideas and then do my own DD. Kaiser gave me Corner Bay @.15, KQR, MMI and many others over the years - Bishop gave me nar, fom and IP, Fagan gave me PFN. Kaiser also did some real fancy quantification of Argentina Gold and Nuinsco in terms of real value that really helped my trading. These guys know what they're doing, but they are just human like the rest of us and make mistakes. I just use their shoulders to stand on and help me see a little further.<g>. Maybe this should be the old persons thread. Makes me more comfortable knowing other posters are in the age bracket where they have probably been bloodied a few times - if an investor hasn't been bloodied I don't trust them - you can't get from here to there without being bloodied now and then. The winners are those that persevere - unless this just isn't your bag, in which case it is best not to do it, and know it. One of the great investors once said (can't recall his name right now - it might have been Bernard Baruch) "I lost 8 fortunes, but I made 9) <g>.
