What's a good average daily return?

For the better, consistently successful traders among you out there, a question:

What do you consider a good daily average return over time?

Doing the math, I find 1% per day would yield phenomenal returns. But I think that's probably difficult to achieve.

How about .05% daily profit? Is this a realistic goal, assuming you commit the same amount of your capital every day.

I looked through the summary thread but couldn't find anything that answered this question.

Thanks in advance!

P.S. I try to trade high-volume volatile stocks every day ($50-$175), stocks with daily high-low ranges of 5-20 points. It seems that you should be able to grab a point or two consistently from a stock with an average daily range of 5-20 points! Still, I know it's easier said than done.
