SEG has sold most of the Sandisk shares. This is an excerpt from a transcript of an interview on Squawk Box Thursday with Eli Harari (CEO of Sandisk.) I got the transcript from CNBCDowJones.com (it's by subscription, but here's a link:)

As usual with transcripts, the syntax seemed garbled; I listened to the audio replay and tried to correct it. This may be old news, but I did not know about it. And, what happens to the proceeds from the sale? And, has SEG also sold ZOOX?
BTW, Susan Byrne Westwood was guest hostess.
Here's the excerpt:
Susan Byrne Westwood: Quickly on another subject, I know that Seagate owns a large part of your company, and they are involved in a corporate development now. What happens to their ownership and does that go into their privately-held deal?
Tyler: Quick answer, please - sorry.
Harari: Seagate Technology has already sold most of their shares in the company and now is formally out of 70 million shares. So, their respective ownership in the company is relatively small.

With apologies for the duplication to those of you who are also reading the Yahoo board. Ironically, I used part of the proceeds from the portion of SEG I sold a few weeks ago to buy some SNDK last Friday during the crash; think I'm very glad I did. This whole situation is just sickening, imho. They surely knew how to unlock the SNDK value for themselves, didn't they?
