Ted...re: Even if AMD does not look likely to collapse, there is a very good chance the markets will and they could take AMD down with it.

I will never again exceed 10% when on margin....I have learned that that's as risky as I need to get.

Ted, well said. I think that is lost on a lot of people on the thread. I could borrow thousands to finance some more AMD shares or options, but I will not do that. I think AMD is going much higher, but no one here can accurately predict by how much or when. The danger of Nasdaq suffering another 1000 point or more decline is something we should all consider a possibility(especially the options players). It is hard to predict how a move like that would impact our favorite stock.

Also, Goutama had posted that institutional investors have a large percentage of the stock now. That means all of us small investors are at their mercy now. There is no telling what they will do in a severe down move.
