Ted, well said. I think that is lost on a lot of people on the thread. I could borrow thousands to finance some more AMD shares or options, but I will not do that. I think AMD is going much higher, but no one here can accurately predict by how much or when. The danger of Nasdaq suffering another 1000 point or more decline is something we should all consider a possibility(especially the options players). It is hard to predict how a move like that would impact our favorite stock.

Ed,

Your post reminded me of an article I read in IBD two days ago. It was talking about when to get back into this market and was reminding the reader of the Fall,'98 pullback on the Nasdaq. The Naz had corrected in July and then again in Sept and it looked like it was over....WRONG!! The Naz pulled back even harder on Oct 8th. It was my first real correction and it scared the bejezus out of me. I thought for sure the sky was falling....in fact, I knew it was the 1930's all over again. And I wasn't even on margin. LOL

After that article I am pretty convinced we will go back down one more time......AMD will go down too, not as hard but it will go down. Too many Naz charts are severely damaged and need time to heal. JMO.
