re: On the CC, NAS revenue was reported to be $90mm for the quarter. For comparison's sake, NTAP revenue for its most recent quarter (ending Jan '00) was $151mm.

Hello Tucker, I am a long time EMC shareholder but I am relatively new to SI and have not kept up particularly well with EMC developments. However, I posted the above info you provided from the CC regarding NAS revenue on the Gorilla thread and got the following response from one of the thread veterans:

I don't remember if that has been clarified on this thread. (I follow fewer threads than most people and I still get confused.) The $90 million includes the Symmetrix revenue that goes along with it, causing it to be very misleading. The pure NAS revenue net of the Symmetrix is tiny. Some think it might be around $15 million.

I wondered what the opinions of you or some knowledgeable EMC shareholders is regarding actual EMC NAS revenue. I also own a much smaller stake in NTAP, which upon a cursory glance at the above numbers, could be at risk.
