Having been a MER broker myself back in the 1970's, things have really changed. I recently wrote an article on how the real beneficiaries and ultimate winners to on-line trading will be the big firms like MER. We continue to get many branch offices as clients to our research and charts. Would you say the bennies without the broker would be worth the 1%. I mean just someone there to take an order when you wanted it, give no recommendations, just keep quiet, and provide all the other things you mentioned. Would that be worth the 1% or is broker input important in the equation at all. I have devoted mucho time keeping abreast of what is happening in the brokerage industry and have written many articles on it. I really appreciate this candid discussion of the industry. Thanx all and keep it coming. Tom
