Topannuity,

I view seasonal trends as one more tool.. one more filter to be aware of. I do not view and use it dogmatically, like all methods. If my indicators, point in the direction of the seasonal trend, I feel more confident. Like they are now, but I will be quick to bail if things change..

Seasonality on a micro-scale would be Marty Zweig's breakdown of pre and post Holiday daily action . which are pretty strong tendencies..

BTW, according to his book, the day prior to the Easter holiday, was up 26 times, down 5, and unch. 3.. between Jan,1952 and and June 1985.. The percentages said up this past Thursday..., but my indicators pointed down so IMO, it gave me a little more frosting to sell a little in pre-holiday strength.. It turned out basically mixed depending on what index, a person was looking at.

We will see if it was wise..

good luck as we start another round on Monday morning..
