Semi O/T what a refreshing post.

Refreshing indeed... personally, I always get alot of satisfaction from anything I can offer that elicits that type of reply. Thank you for the clarifications and your substantive follow up post as well.

Many of us can only work hard in an effort to able to time the absolute bottom like you are able to do. I think the average investor like myself must try to utilize a dollar cost average of sorts to allow for lack of experience and inability to correctly time any particular issue or, for that matter, the market in general. Personally, I try to buy and sell in thirds, or a variation there-of, to aggrandize my personal positions. Your skill and insight as an investor is not as common as you might assume.

But you are quite correct, it is all about perspective.

Your disclosures here have been appreciated by me. Thanks also for the inside info on your use of the term "widgets".

FWIW I had to go to my unabridged volume of Websters, the definition was not in the regular Riverside edition, and for those like me who even took the time to check, I imagine it could have been misconstrued as condescending in tone, somewhat mistakenly altering the context of your valuable information. You are correct again though, it is nit picking. ELON is a widget maker...as only 5.6% of 1999 revenues came from the service side of the business. This is of course by design as the company is admittedly licensing training services that they formerly provided themselves.

The quarterly earnings are out, and the financial news "blackout" commonly associated with reports is behind them. It will be interesting to see how the company releases news going into this next phase...the home networking market. Perhaps a little (or a lot) more plainspeak will be the order of the day, in catering to this market. In retrospect one has to admit that ELON was catering to the engineering community at large all along initially, while building the first stages of the industry business model, and basically creating acceptance there-in for their product. This may explain the press reads to a certain extent.

I will say though on my visits to ELON's website, I've found lots of examples on how their product applications have been used successfully to date...

I didn't think it was that big of a deal trying to understand what the company has to offer... and when somebody asks me what they do and why I'm excited about the growth prospects, I can easily provide an explanation in a few sentences that answer the question

Regardless, I'll accept the buildout of the business, and partnerships up to this point... it looks very strong to me
moving forward. I'll also accept the shakeout of all the "weak hands". They do the stock price no service.

Incidentally, almost all the anecdotal evidence and commentary I read about this company and their technology and widgets leads me to believe that there are some very savvy folks who have alot of respect for they are doing... witness your very own attention here. My guess is the stock may be moving into much stronger hands as we speak, and as the market develops moving forward. It's funny how much commentary focuses on the price of the stock, and not what the company is doing.

I'm all for aggrandizement of my capital, but too many times I've been left in the dust while I waited for the price to come to me, rather than averaging in.

Also, I've noticed the non-existent debt to equity ratio of 0.00. This is a positive in my opinion in the face of many negatives presented here. It may preclude certain unfavorable financing deals in the near term, as revenue streams develop.

I'm sorry you won't be contributing to the thread anymore. I've learned so much from folks like you... makes me want to continue to try harder to understand all sides of the picture.

Thanks again for the challenging stuff. You've brought alot to the table, and it's much appreciated.

Happy Holiday,

JM
