Thanks for the response RD. I don't know about "common" investors but Credit Suisse First Boston analysts represented that IWOV recently won business over VIGN at both IWON.com and Compaq. VIGN previously has done business with both organizations (and still may).

It is an oft-stated truth that the market is big enough now for more than one winner. The operative term is "now." Already there are clear signs of companies converging the spectrum of product offerings and moving toward eventual head-to-head competition. Cut-throat competition will happen sooner than you might expect. The two largest companies in the space - VIGN and BVSN - do not compete head-on in most cases now but each are moving fast to acquire or partner with competing solutions. VIGN represented this Q that when they did compete directly against BVSN, they won 70% of the time.

Andrew Carnegie said that he put all of his egss in one basket and guarded that basket. A few years ago SAP, PSFT and ORCL were all winning. Complacent PSFT and SAP shareholders would have been better off if they had identified ORCL as the eventual winner.

If IWOV is winning business with VIGN clients, as a VIGN shareholder I want to know why. It may be a benign reason. But it may lend insight w/r/t a competitive threat to the company. The easiest solution is to own a basket of VIGN, IWOV, ARTG, ALLR, and BVSN because the eventual winner in this space will be huge. Today, VIGN is the biggest in my basket among these and I'm taking Andrew Carnegie's advice to heart.
