ya know, it's interesting. I just read the article, and they came up with the list by ranking companies according to four criteria, including last year's stock performance and various cash flow and ROI figures. A year ago I would have been impressed with the results, even perhaps lodged in my mind that the companies ranking highest were great values and things I should consider investing in.

Now I still checked the list out--some of our favorites did well, others not--but today it took only a moment's relfection to realize that because I had a well-thought out investing approach based on a sophisticated theory and large amounts of information, for me the rankings were simply meaningless. Thanks, GM, for helping me ignore some "noise"...
