He just hopped on by. My daughter who is a great kid lied to me tonight because she knew she was doing something that I would highly disapprove of. I took her bunny and blanky away for the transgression, and wanted to leave her only some socks and stuff for the basket, but leave out the candy. I was going to tell her the Easter bunny heard about her lying but my wife disagreed with me. She says you are never supposed to punish them for coming clean. I sort of agree, but how do you show them that they will be better off telling the truth initially, than lying about it. Our compromise was to give her the basket but tell her that because she told the truth eventually she will only have bunny taken away one more night instead of a week like it would have been, had she kept lying.
