Hi dave,

Yep, I've had the same problem and find that it works best for me to put a limit order in at the bid or ask (depending on whether I'm selling or buying, and even sweetening the deal by 1/4 to 1/2 point if I think the market's going to gap at the open. I know that orders of ten contracts, if at the ask or better, are automatically filled.

On Monday I expect a gap down and am hoping to buy QQQ puts, as well as protective puts on my QCOM shares, this way.

And yeah, the AMEX has a bad reputaion all around.
