That CNN interview is a must see of them playing out the removal. The more I see that after the extraction interview with Marilysis and Donato, oh the tears, so many tears, and their pointing at a door ripped in two that is not shown that way in the AP pictures when they are entering the room in picture 2 of that AP series, the less credible they are. ("Oh, sob, sob, sob, little Elian's bed. They broke his bed. Oh, sob, sob, sob." I don't think so. The pictures they arranged to have taken by the AP don't really show the INS breaking up the place. They weren't there long (3 minutes) by all accounts. This destruction looks like a fraud. A DRAMATIC fraud. I have no doubt that doors were forced and that team did what they had to to take the boy, but oh the drama they are turning it into now. A staged drama I fear.
They arranged to have the AP photographer there you must know. And then Donato was talking to the photographer before the INS guy came in the room. Donato says something like "Where can we go?" and then reports the photographer said that there was no place left to go. It is a very fine line that was crossed there when a reporter - observer - becomes participant.
Which begs the question of why on earth was Donato there? Why was he of all people in the world clutching that child? Were the rest of them drunk? He was sleeping in the child's room? What a circus. From the arms of the fisherman? Oy.
I suppose that next we will hear that Marilysis and Donato are a love item. Oh, and that they are publishing a book on "The Ordeal". I smell big made for TV money coming. Should make a great double feature played along with Selena.
