The Government placed the boy in the Relatives care temporarily.

The Government sought to return the boy to his father and his family.

The Relatives (not the family as you would call them) refused.

The Relatives were NEGOTIATING? They were negotiating something in which the only standing they had was standing that the Government had given them in the first place. The Government revoked that standing. The Relatives no longer had any basis to be NEGOTIATING, yet they were.

The INS was acting against people and a community that was acting OUTSIDE the law.

I for one applaud the government for surgically resolving the situation. It was the right outcome. Let the Relatives return now to their book deals and their made for TV movie deals.
