tony, everyone is using the boy as a political pawn. longer term, the boy is better off in the us vs working in castro's fields post "reprogramming." my guess is that religious beliefs also play a part as castro will probably make the kid renounce any kind of religious beliefs - that is important to avoid for some folks. anyway, janet reno handled this like a pompous bull in a china shop and the fallout will be tremendous. at least the house didn't burn down this time -ng- the family was obstinate, however, reasonable people in the white house could have settled this diplomatically. alas, such a thing doesn't exist. perhaps this fiasco upset bill b/c it limited his time "training" another intern. -ng-
