I couldn't agree more. I have turned on CNN from time to time today, and am amused at the lengths to which they are driven due to the fact that they have no live footage of Elian anymore. Eventually the story will move off the front page due to lack of photo coverage, I predict.

I suspect that one reason Juan did not come to Miami was that the Justice Department believed that armed confrontation was inevitable. The long jet trip from Miami to Andrews Air Force Base provided sufficient distance for Elian not to imagine that his father was involved in the confrontation, a thoughtful transition. It seems that Reno, and the Justice Department, have learned something from the tragedies at Waco and Ruby Ridge.
