charred, A lot depend on the topography of the actual deposit. From the looks of it a gravity conveyor is doable as long as there are flattish areas nearby. In addition the material itself can be scraped into a leach pad with a rubber liner being used over clay or other barrier material. To be sure this needs more work and study, but remember that open pit heap leach operation can have costs under $4-5 per cubic meter. In addition the capital costs are far lower compared to hard rock milling requirements.
The whole area looks so weathered that a level area can be made easily. Hard to say for sure without some onsite details. I try to be neutral and be hopeful that answers will be found. Since about 1 in 50-100 initial exploration prospects turns into a mine you can play the wise guru and approve no prospects at all, 99/100 you will be right.
I have met geologists like that...mine killers we call them, never found one and never will. Any indication is interpreted at the maximum level of negativity and pretty soon it is time to send the crew home.
