BamaReb, they were Gestapo. Regardless of whether the boy should be back with the father or not there is a right way to do things. They should have gotten a court order. Then if the family refused to turn the boy over the family would have been in contempt of court and subject to jail. They should have tried at first to just go and ask for the boy. The family was trying to negotiate a neutral site to meet with the father and try to work something out. The father is a coward. He should have come to Miami or at least a neutral site to work for a reasonable solution. I believe the Miami family really loves the child and would have turned him over if they felt assured he would be treated properly and if it were ordered.
