Coherent to begin CFO search
LEESBURG, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 6, 1997--Coherent Communications Systems Corporation (NASDAQ:CCSC) today announced that Michael P. Gendron, Chief Financial Officer, has left the Company to pursue personal interests. Mr. Gendron said, "During my tenure, we have upgraded the financial staff and have created an atmosphere of prudent risk taking, creative problem solving and an overall challenging and enjoyable environment. We have established the basic requirements for sound financial control in an international environment." Daniel L. McGinnis, CEO, commented, "Mr. Gendron is leaving Coherent with no debt, positive cash flow, conservative accounting practices and a trained and enthusiastic financial team. He has our thanks for his dedication to Coherent over the past several years." Mr. Gendron's responsibilities will be assumed by Joan E. Cominski, Corporate Controller, who has been named acting Chief Financial Officer. The Company has begun a search to find and qualify a candidate for its Chief Financial Officer position.
