Art, blacks vote as a block, in great majority, because they are duped by the democrats of having a paternalistic government that gives them things. If they study history their freedom was during a Republican administration (Lincoln). I know there are a lot of thinking and informed blacks who do vote for what creates a society that offers the most opportunity. Unfortunately, these good people are not often looked to for leadership. They are not respected as black leaders and they should be. I personally believe it is a mistake to follow people like Sharpton and Jackson. Follow the Colon Powells and those who just want a level playing field and I think we would quickly become a color blind society.
