I think that you were saying something marvelously nice to me behind all the arguing and joking: I have formed a vital opinion, based on my own experience of abortion and observation, that I wish other people to share. I arrived at this opinion, belief, in my own particular way because of my own particular life and my own particular experiences.
At the moment, because of other things, I REALLY don't want to engage in this discussion, as I am observing but staying the hell out of the morality battle royal on "feelies."
But, no, E, I do not at all disapprove (surely you were laughing when you wrote that?) of what you are posting. As you know, I am a person who has deep concerns about abortion and had one abortion. Is this why you think that I might be an "ombudstype?" Because I cannot take the moral high ground and must always think about about what we weigh, and what we weigh, and what we weigh....
OTOH, poor defenses of a definition of personhood deserve a philosophical and definitional challenge. How else are we to speak on the same level and have rational discourse?
