SIP - Session Initiation Protocol. Is anyone familiar with this technology? It was developed at Columbia University by a Prof. Henning Schulzerinne. It is an new protocol to set up, configure and integrated internet telephony and multimedia. I understand it is rather revolutionary. The question is what is the likelihood of it being adopted as a standard?
