I like your idea of varying trade size as per daily trend. I haven't yet backtested enough to know whether losing trades were made during countertrend movmements. My guess is, however, that what we are profiting from here are uptrending stocks in a downtrending market (in the case of SCH), or downtrending stocks in an uptrending market (BVSN), which therefore tend to swing significantly enough to profit both ways despite the daily trend.
