of Microsoft's "relatives and acquaintances" is Compaq stock
price "vaccinated" against the after-the-earnings news
sell-off?

In other words are we safe from sell-off on meeting or not
meeting the whisper number?

P.S. Anybody care to explain to me why it should affect CPQ
one way or another whether MSFT is broken into 3 companies?
Whatever they end up being CPQ will still get their S/W on
its machines... perhaps even on more favorable to CPQ terms!
