No, this is a previously developed kit, currently sold by an existing Georgia based company, probably out of Sunny's home from the looks of it. It's probably getting more hassle than they are ready to deal with and they like the idea of CMTR already having the distribution channels into all of the pharmacies, and discount stores. CMTR is further developing home testing kits for a variety of things on an on-going basis. But, this kit is developed already, and is probably just a cup and a mailer to ship it to the lab, and then some phone people to give you the results (same ones that do the AIDS test results would be my guess). I doubt that CMTR will actually involve themselves in the actual testing portion, as it is a pain in the butt to do it (it's a pissy job to do) and there are ample testing labs that specialize in this that would love to do a bulk contract with CMTR.
Seems to me that CMTR is setting themselves up as a marketing and distribution company in addition to being a manufacturer. They must be beating the trail to dig up additional products that they can mfg. and/or distribute, and I would expect more of the same. They are small enough, that this is a good niche for them that is too small for many of the big companies to mess with, and their small size probably allows the little mom and pop operators to identify more closely with them. Their ColoCare deal with Helena is interesting in that Helena distributes CholesTrak in Canada, and CMTR is now distributing Helena's ColoCare in the US. Should also allow them to better leverage their marketing dollars.
Anybody know if CMTR has a poison pill defense to keep some big sucker from swooping in and stealing all of our future upside from us on the cheap? I do not want this company acquired by anyone at least until we've had long enough for the revenue streams to be established.
