Hi Bob -- thanks for your analysis and the kind words!

I agree with much of what you say about how things have evolved and the likely outlook from this point.

What appears to be missing in this sell-off that we have had is real fear -- we have seen a lot of pain and forced selling from margin calls but the kind of capitulation that one would associate with a solid bottom seems to be be lacking.

If the final top doesn't include the smallcap dogs - then look for the first signs of sector rotation ( false starts are ok ) and another round of the bull will become popular

To what extent was the speculative excesses that we saw with stocks going up dramatically each day the type of blow-off you are looking for -- admittedly, it did not extend to all stocks but the frothiness was extraordinary, don't you think?
