Gurus pump themselves up as having unique insight into the market, convince people they can tell them how to make money and charge them for the "knowledge". It's a very old game that never changes much.

I just dropped the only two print newsletters I subscribe to. I keep Briefing.com and WSJ because they are the only info sources I ever found worth paying for myself.

To each their own.
